Newly weds (Chapter 173)
Music Recommendation: Always - Peder B
—
Out of all her grandchildren, the Mother Queen knew this particular one needed to fix herself before she became irreparable. "I suspect that's the only thing you have done, and Anastasia has never received a sincere apology from you," she added, causing the princess's eyes to widen at the precarious position she found herself in. She turned to look at the newly wed couple.
Anastasia placed her hands on her cheeks when she saw Dante looking at her questioningly. She whispered, "My cheeks are aching from all the smiling." The thought of them being husband and wife filled Anastasia's mind with a delightful sense of giddiness.
A small frown appeared on Dante's face, and he said, "Don't smile that much." But his words only made her smile even wider.
Anastasia leaned closer to Dante and responded, "I cannot help it."
Dante then slipped his hand into hers and proposed, "Let us leave this place."
"Now?" Anastasia asked. She noticed Dante smile before they left the corridor, accompanied by four other individuals. When they reached the stairs, she said, "Wait."
It was because Anastasia found it challenging to climb the stairs due to her wedding gown preventing her from placing her feet properly on the steps. As she prepared to lift the front of her dress, Dante said, "I think I have a better idea."
Upon hearing those words, Anastasia felt herself being lifted by Dante's strong arms, and she quickly wrapped her hands around his neck for support. She reminded him, "There are still guests around us, Dante."
"I don't see them. All I see is you," Dante replied, causing her smile to widen even further.
When Anastasia caught sight of some of the guests, who quietly grinned at them, a blush crept onto her cheeks and throat. She couldn't resist the urge to bury her face in his chest.
"I don't think I have ever smiled this much before as I have today," Anastasia confessed, feeling herself sway gently as they reached the floor above. Dante didn't set her down and continued to carry her.
"It is rewarding and concerning at the same time," Dante hummed as he gazed down at her. He kicked the door open as soon as they got to their room.
He stepped inside and shut the door with his leg, making Anastasia grin and chuckle before she was finally allowed to place her feet on the floor. Unlike the previous kings, Dante chose not to occupy the king's chamber. He had remodelled his old room to accommodate her belongings, which had already been relocated.
Anastasia noticed that the room looked a little different than before. And while her gaze wandered, Dante took off his coat and placed it to the side before coming to stand behind her. He wrapped his arms around her waist, tightly embracing her and resting his chin on her shoulder.
"This is our room, and should you wish to change or add anything, feel free to do so," she heard Dante say.
"Thank you," Anastasia replied, feeling content and comfortable in the cocooned space. "Would it be odd if I said I am glad you didn't change rooms?"
"Not at all," Dante responded to her question with a hum. He said, "This room holds many memories of time we spent together, and I don't want to share them with anyone else but you."
There was also another reason. Dante didn't want to use what his father had left behind, particularly the room where countless women had been bedded and the location where his brother Maxwell had tragically passed away.
Turning around in Dante's arms, Anastasia placed her hands on his shoulders, allowing them to gently slide down to settle on his chest. She expressed, "I cannot wait to spend the rest of our lives together. To create more memories with each other. I promise to always love you, be there for you, and to stand by you no matter what."
"You are the only woman I have ever loved, and the only one I ever will… and I will only share your love with our children that are yet to come," Dante stated, lovingly caressing her cheek.
At last, they were finally alone and away from others, undisturbed.
She gazed deeply into his crimson eyes and stood on the tips of her toes before gently pressing her lips on his, and he returned it with the same fervour and love she had for him, possibly even surpassing it. She felt him playfully tease her lips with his tongue, and she willingly parted them to allow him to conquer her once more.
Dante's hands, resting on her waist, pulled her closer to him. He sensed her emotions flowing into him, and he welcomed every one of them, ensuring that he would cherish them all.
"Anastasia," Dante whispered her name, his breath igniting the desire she had been suppressing all these days after their return to the palace.
Anastasia shuddered at his hushed words, and as her eyes met his, their shared emotions mirrored—their deep love for one another and their longing to draw nearer. She lifted her hand to his face and delicately traced his features, her eyes following the lines of his cheekbones and jawline.
Her fingers descended to the buttons of his shirt, and she proceeded to undo one after another. When she pushed the fabric aside, she murmured,
"They are all gone now."
Once upon a time, Dante's body was covered in scars that bore evidence of more suffering than the calluses she carried on her hands. She heard him say, "You healed me."
Even so, Anastasia was the one who cast the curse on him in the first place. To have him endure a life of pain so that he could regain what he lost when he was an earthling. She said, "You healed me, I healed you."
With time, they had grown to rely on one another and built a stronger foundation for their relationship as a result. Soon enough, Anastasia's wedding gown and the rest of her flimsy undergarments fell off her body, until she was completely bare to Dante's eyes.
Dante cradled one side of her neck with his hand before he began to kiss her lips and cheeks, tracing his lips down her throat with a trail of warm kisses.
"...!"
A soft gasp escaped from Anastasia's delicate lips when Dante lifted her into his arms, and she wrapped her legs around his waist and her arms around his neck as he walked them towards the bed.
Upon reaching the bed, Anastasia was dropped on her back, causing her body to bounce slightly off the mattress. In a second, as though his veil of gentleness had fallen off along with all her bridal articles of clothing, Dante moved above her in an instant.
The sound of his hoarse breath made Anastasia's heart race, knowing she wasn't the only one anticipating this night. Aside from the kisses they had shared since their return to Versailles, they had refrained from further intimacy, only intensifying their yearning for each other's touch.
A shudder escaped Anastasia's lips when Dante's fingers glided down her throat, causing goosebumps to appear on her skin as they gazed at each other. With a fierce possessiveness, he leaned in to capture her lips with his while letting his hands delightfully explore her as if it were their first time.
Anastasia felt her body arch at the blissful pleasure Dante brought her, stealing most of her breath in the process. His hand had reached for her breast, where her heart pounded wildly beneath it.
His lips parted just enough to reveal his tongue, and his head lowered to the swell of her chest before he firmly captured the hardened bud in his mouth.
"A-ah...!" a loud moan escaped from Anastasia.
She let out another moan when Dante bit the tip of her breast. Her hands, resting on his shoulders, landed on the back of his neck, and her fingers weaved through his hair.
"The more you cry, the more I want to hear it," Dante whispered against the wet bud, blowing air on it, sending shivers down her spine.
Blood rushed up her neck, her heart skipping a couple of beats now and then. Letting go of his hair, her fingertips traced the contours and ridges of his firmly toned muscles.
When Dante sat up, Anastasia unwound her legs from around his waist and let them rest on the surface of the bed, while watching him as he began to unfasten his trousers.

GARDEN OF POISON
Throes of passion (Chapter 174)
Once Dante undressed himself completely, Anastasia positioned herself to sit on her knees and joined him in the sweet warmth that she had come to know and grown fond of. She loved this man with all her heart, and she willingly surrendered everything she had to him.
Time and time again, Dante had repeatedly proven to her that he was worthy of her trust and love, mending the small bruises that had formed between them in the past.
"My beautiful rabbit," Dante whispered, feeling her fit perfectly in his arms. He had never imagined he would ever be blessed with such happiness, and now that he had it in his grasp, he wanted to protect it at all costs.
Dante's tongue slipped inside her mouth, tasting the sweetness, and in response, she opened up like a flower blooming in his hands. Feeling her heart race, he deepened the kiss.
A soft gasp escaped from her lips when his hand reached between her legs, feeling the bursting pleasure that was building up in her, and it didn't take long for the room to be filled with her moans.
"A-ah…" Anastasia uttered his name as her mind started to turn hazy. She felt his finger rub against her before it slid inside of her, making her grip his shoulders for support. "Ah…!" an even louder cry emerged from her when his finger thrust deeper into her.
It didn't take long before Anastasia began to melt under Dante's ministrations. While his skilful fingers continued to pleasure her between her legs, eliciting moans and cries from her, he swallowed them with kisses on her lips.
Even though Dante didn't let her have her release, as if teasing her by bringing her to the edge, Anastasia's body throbbed with excitement. When he finally pulled his fingers out from her, she struggled to catch her breath. She took this opportunity to drown him in her love, as her lips left a trail of kisses on his neck and the expanse of his chest.
The kisses were so sweet that Dante treasured each one of them. Her earnestness to please him tugged on his heart, but before she could go any lower than his stomach, he stopped her by placing his finger under her chin.
"What an eager rabbit I have here," Dante hummed, and his eyes darkened when Anastasia looked up at him from where she was to meet his gaze. Her lips and cheeks were flushed, and she looked like a delectable bunny just waiting for him to devour her. "You aren't ready."
Anastasia's heart didn't stop racing, and she whispered, "I want to pleasure you too…"
Dante didn't have the heart to stop her, but at the same time, he nevertheless gave her advice, saying, "If you want to… let us take it slow." He instructed her, "Hold it in your hand."
Anastasia looked down at Dante's hardened member, noticing the veins. Wrapping her hand around it, she found it to be warm and throbbing. She then heard him say,
"You can slowly move your hand up and down," and she did as he instructed.
Not hearing a word from Dante, she worried if she was doing it correctly and looked up at him, feeling her heart flip at his erotic expression. Finding courage, she increased the pace of her hand and heard him hiss in response.
Wanting to see him lose control, Anastasia became bolder and moved closer to his hard member. Dante's eyes narrowed subtly at the same moment, knowing exactly what was on her mind. Her tongue peeked out of her mouth before she gave it a lick, and that was all it took for him to lose control and he cursed,
"Fuck! Come here." Dante pulled her up to him. He took a seat before having her straddle him.
Anastasia asked him with a hint of concern, "Did I do it wrong?"
"No. You did everything right." Dante stole a kiss from her lips, murmuring, "It seems slow can wait."
It took a second for Dante's words to register in her mind because the next moment, she felt his member rub against her wet sex, causing her to sigh with pleasure. This particular feeling made her toes curl, and he slowly pushed himself into her, his hands gripping her hips as if he could no longer hold himself back.
A shuddered breath escaped from Anastasia's lips as she felt him stretching her, and she let out a whimper.
"Breathe, Anastasia." Dante pressed his lips to her throat. His hand stroked her back and he praised, "Good girl."
And once Anastasia grew accustomed to the sensation of their bodies being connected, Dante began to thrust into her while manoeuvring her hip movements to match his own. As the pace picked up, the room began to fill with gasps and moans.
Anastasia knew she had experienced intense emotions like this previously, but this… her mind was becoming hazy. She felt all of him, filling her up with every move, each movement deeper than the last. Her mouth became dry from calling out his name, and she gripped his shoulders, moving with him.
"Dante…!"
Dante watched Anastasia in fascination through the throes of the passion they currently shared. He watched her expression, marred with desire, voicing out her longing that he quenched with his. Destiny had brought them together, but it was their will and determination that led them to where they are today.
As they continued to race towards euphoria, Anastasia soon found her face buried in the crook of his neck. To her, it felt as if she were drifting on rainbows as sweat that had formed on their skin trickled down their bodies.
When Anastasia felt her pleasure reaching its peak, her buried head pulled away from him, and she threw it back as her inner walls tightened around his member, letting him know she was close. Not a second later, she cried out her release,
"A-ah…!"
Dante, not far behind and breathing heavily, tightened his grip on her waist and soon followed her.
Laboured and erratic breathing filled the room as they held onto each other. Anastasia allowed her head to rest on his shoulder, experiencing a sensation of floating unlike anything she had felt before. Her chest heaved as she struggled to catch her breath while clinging to him.
Dante gently pulled himself out of her and then drew her closer to him, enveloping her in his arms. He tenderly caressed the back of her head.
Anastasia held onto Dante, her lips curling into a sweet yet satisfied smile. She whispered, "Dante?"
"Mm?" Dante hummed. They leaned back to gaze into each other's eyes.
She leaned closer, placing her forehead against his, and breathed, "I love you."
A smile spread on Dante's lips, and he responded, "And I love you."
As if having a sudden realisation, Anastasia asked him, "Do you think—the Devil heard us?" Considering he was inside the palace and likely possessed good hearing.
"I made sure to close this space just for the two of us. I don't need anyone eavesdropping on your beautiful cries," Dante reassured her, and Anastasia let out a sigh of relief before breaking into a smile.
Far away from Dante and Anastasia's room, down on the ground floor, some guests continued to enjoy the celebration. At the front of the palace, Emily stood beside her mother, wishing the guests a safe journey.
When Emily turned around, she spotted Nathaniel stepping out of the palace entrance with Lady Layla on his arm. Every time she saw him, she felt a pang in her heart, a sensation that only intensified with each encounter. It had been hours since she learned of her soulmate's existence, yet instead of standing next to him, she was told to stay away from him. And in those hours, her mind seemed to have come to a standstill.
"It was a lovely wedding, Lady Sophia," one of the guests praised. "I look forward to returning here soon with good news from Princess Emily."
"It should be only a matter of time before Emily finds the right suitor," Lady Sophia replied with a smile. A faint smile briefly graced Emily's lips, but it quickly faded when the lady turned away to head to her carriage.
"Good evening, Lady Sophia. Princess Emily," Lady Layla came to greet them before she departed from the palace.
"It is wonderful to see you here, Layla. You should consider staying in the palace," Lady Sophia suggested, but the young woman politely declined with a shake of her head.
"I would love to, but I have some wedding details to look over early tomorrow morning," Layla replied. "Perhaps some other time." Seeing Lady Sophia looking at her fiancé standing next to her, she added, "This is Nathaniel Lynx. The man I will be marrying. We will send you the invitation soon."
"How delightful!" Lady Sophia exchanged pleasantries, while Emily tried hard not to look at the man, yet she sensed his gaze on her.
