Silence!
I stood silently by the window, my arms folded on my chest as I stared out the window.
My heart is breaking, I could feel it ripping apart slowly when I recalled the scene back at Thanatos office.
Jade was riding my boyfriend...I wish this was a dream, but I know it's not a dream... it's harsh reality.
Jade f**ked my man!
"Baby, I'm sorry, I swear it wasn't my...."
"Was that a revenge?" I cut him off in a gruffly.
Hearing his voice alone is increasing the anger in me, it's as if I should just go away from him...I don't wanna hear him talk.
"A revenge?" Thanatos asked himself.
My back is facing him, so I really can't read his expression but I could feel he's frowning.
"You left the house in a grudge..."
I trailed off and rubbed my forehead gently.
"... you were angry that I called Arthur darling...is that why you choose to revenge me in this way?"
My eyes welled up, that annoying scene kept replaying in my head. It's making me mad at myself for not murdering Jade.
"It's not a revenge.. I never thought of revenging you... "
"Then how do you expect me to interpret what happened?"
He held my shoulders and turned me to face him, but I shrugged his hands off and turned away from him.
I don't wanna see his face, I might just break down.
"I swear, baby, I didn't touch her, please try to understand... "
This statement infuriated me, I turned to face him with a very harsh glare and narrowed my eyes at him.
"Try to understand? Understand what? Your explanation?"
He kept quiet, he's avoiding my gaze...I don't know if it's because he's feeling guilty or ashamed.
"I saw my sister riding my boyfriend.. what do you want me to understand about that? Huh?"
He remained silent, I hit his chest and pushed him back... He staggered slightly and would have fell if he hasn't held himself.
"How did that even happened? What were you doing? Answer me, don't just keep quiet!" I snarled at him.
He stepped forward and tried to hold my waist, but I stepped back and slapped him across the face.
"Don't touch me, speak with your mouth!"
He shut his eyes and rubbed his cheek, he opened his eyes and stared in mine...
"Why did you let this happen? Do you know the consequences of what happened today?" My voice broke as I speak.
I blinked my eyes, I felt the tears I've been trying to hold back, running down my cheeks like a flowing stream.
I looked at him in the eyeballs.
"She could be pregnant with your baby already, my son will be his cousin's brother.. does that make any sense to you?!"
Thanatos remained silent, he's just staring at me speechlessly.
"How could you let such a thing happened?! Why aren't you saying anything?! Why are you keeping quiet?!" I yelled.
He's not even making any attempt to defend himself.. did he enjoy Jade's pu$$y's?
"Baby, you haven't given me a chance to say anything" he said.
I grinded my teeth against each other, I moved away from the window and headed straight to a sofa.. I sat down.
He came towards me, he sat on the sofa next to me and simply stared at me without saying anything.
"Well, start talking?!" I snarled at him.
He nodded quickly and cleared his throat, then began..
"I was in my office, when Elvis came... "

"... McMahon's assistant is on her way right now, Mr O'Briens" June said.
"Alright, handle the robots issue and give me a feedback!"
"Yes, sir" June replied.
I ended the call and pushed my laptop aside.
My eyes landed on the heap of paperwork and a groan left my mouth.. when am I gonna be done with all these? I had wondered.
I reached for one of the files and glanced through it, I wanted to push it aside.. but decided to do some work until McMahon's assistant arrives.
Just when I was about to start, I heard a knock.
"Come in" I said.. I knew it's Elvis knocking.
The door opened and he walked in, he greeted me with a bow which I returned with a curt nod.
"Mr O'Briens, McMahon's assistant is here" he said.
I raised my head and found out he's giving me a nasty look, as though he's glaring at me.. I frowned.
"How audacious!" I banged on the table.
His head quickly bowed, his eyes stared at the floor or his toes.
"You're glaring at me...are you tired of working here?!"
He shook his head.
"No, I'm sorry, Mr O'Briens"
"Get out!" I growled.
"Yes, sir" he said and rushed towards the door.
As if he remembered something, he stopped and faced me.. he cleared his throat quietly.
"What about McMahon's assistant?" He asked.
"Let her in" I answered.
He nodded and rushed out as if his pants on fire.
I put the file away and adjusted my suit, I leaned back on my chair and waited for McMahon's assistant.
A few moments later, the door pushed open dragging my attention to it, only to find out it's...
Jasmine's sister?!
My eyebrows furrowed instantly in confusion, how did she ended up being McMahon's assistant?
"Hello, Thana" she said.
"What are you doing here? Who let you in?" I asked her gruffly.
She stared at me briefly and laughed, she started walking towards me seductively.. with a flirtatious smile on.
Last time I met with McMahon at his company, his assistant wasn't a female... what's going on?
"Are you McMahon's assistant?" I voiced out my thought.
"Of course"
No..not possible, something is wrong somewhere.
Dad wouldn't let Jade work, everything she needs is made available in the mansion.
I locked gaze with her and she giggled, then winked at me.
"We haven't seen for long, are you surprised?"
She stopped in front of me, she leaned down and shoved her breast in my face.
"Thana... Do you miss me?"
Then it clicked.. this must be a set up! I pushed her away from me, she fell and landed on her butts... I quickly got up.
"Get out of my office!" I snarled at her.
She got up and dust her hands, she took steps towards me but I stopped her.
"Come on, Thana, take a look at me"
"You..." I swallowed my words and my eyes grew wide, when I saw what she's doing.
Her jacket fell off her shoulders, exposing her bare shoulders and cleavage...I quickly looked away from her.
"What are you doing?! Get out now or I'll make the security team bounce you out shamefully!" I balled my fist.
"Take a look at me, I'm your wife, you shouldn't shy away from me"
"You're not my wife, you're my sister-in-law.. leave now that I'm still respecting you as my sister-in-law!"
She came in front of me, I looked at the wall behind her.
"Sister-in-law? But I'm the one you're married to..."
"Yes, Henry did married you in my name, but you should understand that I don't and will never love you... I'm in love with your sister and we even have a son together!"
She scoffed.
"In love with my sister? Then what's gonna happen to me? What about me?"
I didn't say anything, I just want her to leave or I might do something I'd regret later... I don't want to hurt her or Jasmine might blame me.
"Five years.. five good years, that's how long I waited for you.. now you're telling me you're in love with my sister?"
I frowned and moved away from her, I walked towards the big glass window and stared out.
"Jade, I didn't know you before, it's not my fault that you waited for me.. that's your mistake it has nothing to do with me..."
"Why? Am I not good enough? Is Jasmine more beautiful than me?"
Jasmine's face appeared before me, when she said that and I smiled to myself.
"Yes, Jasmine's more beautiful.. the most beautiful girl I've ever seen" I said.
Then there's a brief silence, before she speak again.
"I don't care about Jasmine, I don't care if you both had something together.. "
She paused, making me wonder what she's about to say.
"...but now I'm your wife, that's a fact you can't deny, I'm your legal wife.. end things with Jasmine and be with me"
I faced her and glared at her.
"Stop your wishful thinking.. leave!" I growled and pushed her.
She staggered back and almost lost her balance, but quickly held herself.
"Have you forgotten Mr McMahon's condition so soon?" She asked.
Condition? What condition?
"Wether you'll work together depends on your performance" she smirked.
Hmm.. now I understand what he meant, he wants me to f**k Jade. But why? What's his connection with Jade?
Before her I knew it, she's standing in front of me and way too closer to me..
She reached out to touch my face, but I caught her hand and frowned.
"End things with Jasmine and be with me, I promise I'll make sure McMahon work with you"
I narrowed my eyes. What a disgusting human being!
I let go of her hand and landed a resounding slap on her face, the sound echoed in the office.. I pushed her and she fell to the ground.
"What a shameless sister you are! Thinking of convicting your younger sister's possession!"
She glared at me, then got up slowly and rushed to her bag.
"Leave now, or I'll forget you're Jasmine's sister!"
"I'm not gonna leave, not until you give me what I want" she said.
My eyes narrowed more, I felt rushing over to her and strangle her to death.. but I can't, she's Jasmine's sister after all.
Now wanting to commit a murder, I rushed to my table and pressed the intercom button..
"Hello, Mr O'Briens" one of the security men answered.
"Come to my office right now and...."
I didn't get to finish my words, I felt a stink on my neck, I tensed and I slowly turned around.. Jade's smirking at me.
"What did you do?!"
"You refused to give me what I want consciously.. you left me no choice but to take it while you're unconscious"
My vision started burring, I grabbed whatever she stabbed on my neck and pulled it out.

"... baby, I swear, I don't know what happened afterwards.. I only woke up and saw you" I explained.
She raised her hand and I braced myself, waiting for her to slap me.. bug she dropped her hand and balled her fist.
Her teary eyes stared at mine, my heart broke at the sight..it hurts me a lot as her tears are wasted on me.
Even though I'm not at fault, I still hurt her.. I mean, it hurts to see someone else f**king your beloved.
"Baby, I'm sorry" I apologized, that's all I can do now.
"Are you trying to say, this was a set up?"
I nodded quickly.
"Yes, I swear, I wouldn't dare stare at another woman.. you're all I need, I'm contented with just you"
Jasmine stared at me blankly, I couldn't read her expression but I know she's very angry right now.

I'm barely controlling myself, I'm still feeling hurt even after his explanation.. and I don't understand why.
It's true, this must be a set up.
"I have sent Peter to look into it, baby, I..."
"Enough" I cut him off.
My head suddenly felt heavy as a sudden headache attacked me, o held my head in my hands and closed my eyes.
I must have cried or shouted too much, I sucked in some hair.
"I don't wanna hear any more explanations.. the conclusion of everything that happened is.. "
I removed my hands from my head and got up, I wiped my tears.
"Just pray Jade doesn't end up getting pregnant, if she does.. "
I trailed off and locked gaze with him, I stared at him for a good moment.
"... Davis and I will disappear from your life!"
He stood up abruptly and shook his head frantically.
"Baby, no, we... "
"We'll go far, far, very far away from you and I promise you'll never find us!"
"It hasn't gotten to that, baby... "
I toned him off and headed for my room, just a few steps away from my room.. I suddenly felt dizzy and lost my balance.
But before I could fall to the ground, Thanatos rushed forward and caught me... He stared at me worriedly.
"Are you ok?" He asked.
I straightened up and pushed him away from me, I held the wall to support myself.
"Stay away from me, I don't wanna see you!" I snapped at him.
"Baby, it's... "
I cut him off with a glare. I waited a few moments, until I'm feeling a little bit ok.. then stepped into my room and shut the door in a bang.
Maybe I used too much strength beating up Jade, because I'm suddenly feeling kinda weak.
I guess I should take a quick cold bath, I'll be alright afterwards.

I sighed deeply when Jasmine slammed her door, I leaned against the wall and ran my fingers through my hair.
This is f**ked up.
Now Jasmine wouldn't forgive me, she thinks I'm trying to revenge her.
This is a shitty game, but well planned.
Whoever planned this game should wait for me, they wouldn't like what I'll do you them.
My phone started vibrating in my pocket, I reached for it and answered it without checking the caller.
"Yes?"
"Mr O'Briens, I've got the information" Peter said.
I smirked.
"Bring it to my apartment!"
"Yes, sir" I hanged up and shoved the phone back in my pocket.
Let's go see what Peter found out!

Thanatos' apartment.
Thanatos squeezed the paper in his hands and threw it across the living room, I grabbed the phone laying on the table and smashed it.
"Bloody bast*rd!" He growled. "Sure enough, he's involved in this!"
Peter too a few steps away from him, he knew Thanatos wouldn't mind landing a punch on his face right now.
"How can he use such a cheap trick?"
Peter remained silent, Thanatos averted his gaze to him (Peter).
"What about McMahon? How did Jade ended up being his assistant?"
"Oh.. McMahon sold his company to an anonymous buyer.."
His (Thanatos) brows drew together in a tight frown, his fist balled and punched the table.
".... we are still yet to know how the new boss is related to Jade"
Thanatos glared at the paper he just threw across the living, then his eyes moved back to the smashed phone on the table.
"I have a hint of who this new boss might be..." Thanatos said.
Peter stared at him curiously, wondering how he would know without investigating it properly.
"Since this is Henry's plan, then he must also be related to the new boss..."
Thanatos trailed off, he frowned slightly and looked as though he's thinking about something.
"... but who the hell is this new boss? Could it be he's the mastermind behind everything?"
He paused, the frown still on his forehead.
"I know Henry just wanted the company... but what does this person wants?"
He raised his head and stared at Peter.
"Peter, look deep into this.. find out who bought McMahon's company.. he might be the one behind everything!"
"Yes, Mr O'Briens" Peter replied with a bow.
Thanatos leaned back on the sofa, he threw his head back and the breath of relief left his mouth.
"Mr O'Briens, are you going to the hospital?" Peter asked.
"Hospital?"
"Yes, sir"
He rubbed his forehead, he groaned softly.
"Why should I go to a hospital?" Thanatos questioned.
"Mrs O'Briens..."
Peter bite his tongue when Thanatos threw him a harsh glare, he quickly averted his eyes from Thanatos.
"Forget about her, you should get on with the task I assigned you"
"Yes, sir" Peter replied, he quickly left...
Few minutes after Peter's gone, Thanatos got up, he picked his car keys and headed for the door.. deciding to go to the hospital.
But he stopped halfway when his mind flashed back to Jasmine's condition, how she had almost fainted earlier.
"No, Jasmine doesn't alright, I can't just leave her by herself and go to the hospital..."
Frown lines appeared on his forehead, he seemed a little bit confused.
"... I'll just send Clark over"
He reached for his phone in his pocket, he walked towards the sofa.. perceiving himself as he walked.
He cringe, coughed and gagged slightly.
"I can't go back to Jasmine while smelling like her sister, I'd better wash up first" he concluded.
He dialed Clark's number as he walked towards his bathroom.

"Hack!"
"Hack!" I coughed as I puke out my lungs in the toilet.
Some of my hair started falling on my face, I quickly tie them up in a messy bun and continued vomiting.
My hand my neck, as if it would stop me from vomiting...but it didn't.
It's just as if someone is dipping their hand in my throat, forcing out every little thing in my stomach.
Even the little pancakes I ate this morning, before going to work kept pouring out.
After a few minutes, I noticed it stopped. I got up and washed my mouth, then stepped into my room.
My legs groggily found their ways to the bed, I laid down and pulled the blanket over me.
Cold... I'm feeling very cold and also having a severe headache, which I don't seem to understand why.
"Achoo!" I sneezed loudly.
It's wasn't long ago, I had a fight with Jade and I was very healthy and strong.. why am I feeling sick now?
This is strange.. or did Jade use some kinda of black magic on me?
"Achoo!" I sneezed again.
My eyes caught the wall clock, a tired groan slipped my mouth as my mind rushed to Davis.
Soon, it'll be time to pick him up from school, but how am I gonna pick him up in this kind of condition?
My phone's ringtone suddenly blared loudly, I tried to reach for it but couldn't..
I'm feeling weak and my vision is becoming blurry, I just wanted to sleep.. but before I fell asleep, I saw my door burst open.
Thanatos rushed in, I felt him held me in his arms and I saw his mouth moving.. but I couldn't interpret what he was saying.
I only heard him called my name once.
"... Jasmine"
I felt limp and exhausted, then... I don't know what happened next.

My pupils dilated in fear.
In all my life, I've never been scared of anything, nothing at all scares me.
But seeing Jasmine go limp in my arms, made an unknown fear gripped me and I felt lost for a moment.. not knowing what to do.
"Baby, open your eyes! Baby, open your eyes!"
Sadly, she wasn't responding at all, her body simply remained stilled in my arms.
Panic shoot through me, the fear of losing her suddenly overwhelmed me.
"You're scaring me, baby, please open your eyes!" I said in a shaken voice.
Is she doing this to teach me a lesson? But who would joke with their life just to teach someone a lesson.
Besides, she doesn't look as though she's faking it.
"Baby, please open your eyes.. I promise, I'll leave if you ask me to.. I promise I'll do whatever you want just open your eyes for me, ok?"
What should I do? Would it be too late if I take her to the hospital?
"Baby!"
Wait, aunt Grace!
I reached for my phone and quickly dialed her number, luckily, she picked up after a few rings.
"Aunt!"
"Thanatos?" A hint of surprise in her voice.
"Aunt, help me" I said.
I felt something rushing down my cheek, I quickly wiped it off but frown when I realized it's water...or rather tears.
Tears?! Since when do I start crying?!
"Thana.. what's wrong?"
"She passed out on me, she passed out on me, aunt she passed out on me" I chanted like a five years old.
Aunt cleared her throat.
"Calm down, Thana...calm down and talk to me like a man, stop panicking"
I shut my eyes and took a deep breath...I didn't even let my breath settle down before I started talking again.
"I don't know aunt, my wife suddenly fainted... is there any way to wake her up before taking her to the hospital?"
There's a moment of silence from her side, I gritted my teeth impatiently.. I don't have this time she's wasting.
"Quick, tell me her symptoms"
"Symptoms?"
"Hmm" she hummed in reply.
I frowned.
"I don't really know if this can be considered a symptom, she has been rubbing her forehead recently and complaining about severe headaches"
"Hmm, anything else?"
I think back quickly, this afternoon's event came to my mind.
"She almost fainted this afternoon, after having a fight with someone"
Aunt Grace kept quiet briefly, then spoke.
"Has she been sleeping a lot recently?"
"Yes, yes, she's also gets tired easily these days" I replied.
Aunt Grace sighed, she started laughing.
Her laughter is kinda surprising and annoying right now, how can she be laughing at a time like this?!
"Phew! Thana, you scared me...I thought something very bad had happened to her" she said after laughing to her heart content.
I'm confused by her speech, is she trying to say Jasmine's passing out isn't something to fuss about?!
"Aunt..."
"Jasmine's fine, just place a icepack on her forehead.. she's gonna wake up in a few minutes"
"Icepack?! How's that gonna work?"
"Just trust me, I'll prescribe some drugs for you later.. but after she's alright, take her to the hospital for a proper check up"
My eyes moved to Jasmine, I wonder what an icepack can do here.
"Thana, it's quite normal for her to pass out...it happens a lot at the early stage"
"Early stage?"
What does she mean? Early stage... it's only cancer I know of that has stages.. don't tell me...
"Early stage of what, aunt?" I asked.
My heart is beating fast, if she's talking about cancer, what would I do? I mean, how should I break the news to Jasmine when she wakes up?
"If my suspicion is right, the Jasmine is pregnant"
That word pregnant rang in my ear a few times, I thought this only happens in films.. but it actually happened to me.
It's as if aunt is constantly repeating it in my ear.
"Pre-pregnant?"
"Yes, that should be the result of her tiredness, headaches and dizziness..."
I toned her off and stared at Jasmine's face, how is this possible?
But she told me she can't ever conceive, or is this a dream? Am I dreaming?
I pinched myself very hard and hissed quietly in pain, which simply means.. it's not a dream.
A great job erupted from the pit of my stomach, my lips curved into a smile.. I leaned down and kissed her forehead.
I'm going to be a dad again! And this time, I'll be here to witness every single step with her! Oh joy!!
"Aunt..."
"Don't get too excited, I'm just suspecting she's pregnant"
"I don't care if you're just suspecting or not.. you can't stop me from being happy" I said.
My hand rubbed Jasmine's belly fondly, my lips curved in a bright smile.
"Well, first things first, go get an icepack and do what I told you.. I'll message you the drugs to get right now.. then take her for a check up later"
"Thanks aunt"
"You're welcome, darling" she said and hanged up.
I gently laid Jasmine down, then rushed out of her room to get the icepack.
Luckily, there's one icepack in her fridge, I collected it and rushed back to her room.. I placed it on her forehead.
Just then, my phone beeped. I reached for it and saw the drugs aunt prescribed.. I checked the time.
It's almost time to get Davis from school, I should cook something before picking him up.. I might as well buy the drugs too.

My eyelids twitched spastically, until they snapped open. I felt something cold on my forehead and I reached for it.. it's an icepack.
What happened to me? Why was there an icepack on my forehead? And who put it there?
I sat upright and rested my back against the headboard, I dropped the icepack on the bedside table.
Thankfully, my headache is gone and...wait!
Then it all came rushing back to me, headache.. dizziness and.. I must have fainted.
But who saved me? Could it be Thanatos? Yes, it must be him, I remembered seeing him rushed inside.
Suddenly, it felt as though the worms in my stomach are having a sport competition, I squeezed my stomach to calm them down.. but that just seemed to anger them more.
I better go eat something, who knows, it might be I passed out because I ate very little food this morning.
Jumping off my bed, I wore my flip-flops and rushed out to the kitchen.
Halfway to the kitchen, my eyes caught something at the dinning table and I quickly changed my destination.
My eyes lit up in excitement as I scanned the different types of dishes on the table, I looked my eyes and inhale their sweet aroma.
"Wow! Is someone celebrating a feast in my house?" I thought out loud.
My stomach growled again, making the hunger in me increase...
Without wasting any time, I slumped onto a chair and reached for a drumstick.. I inhaled it aroma and sighed in contentment.
"This is heaven"
A sticky note caught my attention on a glass, I reached for it and read the words.
"Off to pick our son from school, don't know if you'll wake up before we get back...just eat whatever you like"
I scoffed and cast it aside... he's trying to be sweet after letting that she-devil f**k him!
"Well, even though I'm mad at him, I can't let my stomach suffer for it.. also, it's a pity to these food go to waste"
I laughed.
"I'll just help myself!"
That's all I need to dig in.

".. so, we've managed to stabilize her condition, we also injected some ECPs and she's out of danger now" the attending doctor told me.
ECPs... that's very smart of them to flush her system, thankfully, I told the doctor what happened immediately we arrived.
I nodded and tilted my head, peeking inside and saw Jade laying unconsciously on the hospital bed.
"Thank you, doctor"
"We are just doing our job, also, whoever it is she got in a fight with.. that person must be very strong" she said.
I simply chuckled lightly, she's right though, I'm d*mn scared of Jasmine.
Jasmine is someone I don't wanna trifle with or get in her bad side, I always tried my best not to offend her.
When she's angry, she'll fight you with everything she got, she fights like a bull.
"Miss Rodgers, excuse, I have to go back and give a report"
"Oh, sure" I made way and she left.
I turned around and walked into Jade's ward, I went closer to her and sat on the couch next to her bed.
My eyes scanned every injury Jasmine inflicted on her face, I burst into fits of laughter.. she looks so funny right now.
Like, I don't even know if she's naturally ugly or if Jasmine made her this ugly.. but she sure looked funny.
On her face are kinds of colors, blue, red, yellow, purple, green.. goodness! She was badly beaten up.
If I was there, I would have advised her not to mess with Jasmine.. or even try to provoke.
In fact, if I was her being caught in such a compromising position, I would have fell on my knees and start apologizing.
"Eish! Now see the consequences of your action!" I scold her unconscious self.
"Yo, who the hell disfigured her face?" I heard Clark exclaimed behind me.
I turned around at once, Clark's standing behind me and he's staring pitifully at Jade.
"What are you doing here?" I asked him.
He tore his eyes away from Jade, he sat next to me and faced me with a smile.. he reached for my hands.
"I was taking a bath when I heard my woman's rushed to the hospital"
He paused and started blinking his eyes, as if he's trying to force out something.
"Fear overwhelmed me, my whole body started shaking in great fear as I think of many what if's..."
Hmm.. is he performing an act right now? Or trying to be one of those ancient cavemen?
"... I couldn't sit still, my heart kept ripping apart and my hands were trembling. Lo and behold, I found my legs running to the hospital..."
He moved his hands to my face, he inspected my face.
".. baby, are you ok?" He asked.
I shook my head and rolled my eyeballs, I slapped his hands away and pinched his cheeks.
"Are you done with your drama?"
He winced from how hard I was pulling his cheeks, he tapped my hands gently.

"Are you done?" I asked again.
"Yes, yes, baby, stop" he winced.
I let go of his cheeks and glared at him, he rubbed his cheeks and grumbled under his breath.
"Why are you here?"
"Well, Thana called me and said I should come make sure everything is fine here"
He paused and glanced at Jade.
"Right.. he said something about flushing her system?" He said in an unsure tone.
"Yeah, they've already done that"
Clark studied her face for a moment, he shuddered.
"Wait.. who did this to her?"
"Jasmine" I simply replied.
"Jasmine?!" He shouted.
He stared at me with his eyes widened in shock, he turned to Jade and gawked at her.
"S-she really did this?" He stuttered.
"Yeah"
Clark grabbed my sleeve and hide behind me, as if Jasmine's ghost is standing in front of him.
"Baby, remind me not to get on her bad side"
I laughed.
"We'll both have to remind each other then" I said and pat his shoulder in a comforting manner.
We stayed in silence, until Clark broke it.
"So... about meeting my mom, can we do that tomorrow?"
"No!" I answered at once.
He arched his brows at me questioningly.
"I'm not ready to meet her yet"
"But you met her yesterday"
I shook my head.
"Yesterday's dinner was different and besides, I kinda ruined it.. I don't know why she's asking to see me..."
He laughed and held my face in his hands, he leaned forward and kissed my lips lightly.
"Come on, baby, don't overthink this"
"But... "
"There are no buts, you have me and we're going together... I won't let her give you a hard time"
I nodded.
"But don't expect me to be a good girl, I'll talk back if she's insulting me or downgrading me"
He chuckled but nodded.
"And I'll support you" he said.
I smiled and rested my head on his shoulder...he wrapped his arm around my waist and lifted me onto his laps, in a way that I'm straddling him.
"Wait..why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be doing the paperwork?" He asked.
I shook my head.
"Nope! I'm not the restaurant's manager... that's Elvis's job and he's already doing that"
Elvis was so scared when he noticed Jade wasn't breathing, he thought Jasmine's committed murder.
"Ah..does that mean your attention isn't needed here?"
"Of course, it is... she's my best friend's sister, I have to be here on her behalf"
My eyes settled on Jade and I smirked.
"I'm also waiting for her to wake up, so I can give her a piece of my mind"
Clark scoffed.
"A piece of your mind? What if she ends up beating you?"
I looked at him as if he's nuts, I pointed at Jade.
"Look at the condition she's in, what can she do in that condition?"
Clark laughed and pinched my nose softly.
"Right"

Jasmine's pov 👙
I heard the main door burst open, I paused the movie I was watching and turned around.
Davis ran in and headed straight for the living room, his eyes fell on me and he broke into a smile.
"Momma!" He exclaimed excitedly.
"Oh my baby! Come on, give momma some love" I said, opening my arms.
He jumped into my arms, making me fell back on the sofa and he attacked my face with kisses... I giggled.
"You're so happy this afternoon, did something good happened?"
"Yeah" he nodded.
"Tell me, tell me, what happened?" I asked.
He shifted his gaze to Thanatos who's now standing by the end table, he's holding Davis's backpack and lunchbox.
"Daddy and I went to the zoo! I saw a gorilla and many big animals!" He shouted at the top of his voice.
"Baby, bring your voice down.. I can hear you"
He shook his head, he jumped away from me and onto the sofa next to me.. then started jumping on it.
"I saw a gorilla! I saw a gorilla.. it's.. it's so big, momma!"
I understand why Davis is very happy, he's always wanted to visit the zoo.. but I always refused him.
Not that I didn't wanna take him, but because I'm always busy with work at the restaurant.
"Baby, I'm happy for you too, but you should go freshen up and eat lunch first.. then we can celebrate together" I said.
He stopped bouncing and quickly climbed down, then rushed towards his room.
Thanatos dropped the bag and lunchbox on the table, he sat next to me and leaned forward.. he kissed my lips briefly.
"Baby, are you still mad at me?" He asked.
I stayed silent.
His eyes moved to my stomach, he sighed and looked back in my eyes lovingly.
"How are you feeling now? Much better?" He asked.
"Yeah... Thanks for coming to my aid"
"It's my responsibility"
He reached for Davis's backpack, he searched inside a few seconds then pulled out some tablets.
"What are these?" I asked.
"Oh.. I called aunt Grace after you passed out, she prescribed these drugs for you"
I cringed as I stared at the tablets, I twisted my mouth and gag in disgust as if I already have the tablets in my mouth.
"I'm not gonna take those drugs" I said.
"Why?"
"Judging from their appearance, those must be some really bitter drugs"
He stared at me and laughed at my expression, he reached inside the backpack and pulled out a plastic bag.
"Don't worry, I knew you'd complain.. so I bought some candies along" he said.
I smiled.
"Better"
"I should go get a bottle of water" he said.
He got up and headed straight to the kitchen, I stared at him as he went.
Why am I not feeling angry at him anymore?
Well, he was innocent in the first place, he was unconscious when I met Jade riding him.
"Alright, here's the water" he said and sat down.
He popped the cover open, then ripped off some of the tablets and handed them to me.
"Take 'em" he ordered.
I stared at the drugs in my hand with a disgusting expression, I perceived it and winced.
"Come on, baby, it's not that bitter"
I shut my eyes and took a deep breath, then took them all at once.. I quickly gulped down a lot of water to push the drugs down my throat.
"Take" I said, shoving the bottle in his hand.
"Are you sure you don't need some water?"
I shook my head, I straightened up my posture to help the drugs digest.
But the odor of the drugs aren't helping that much, I can perceive it and it's not going well with my system.
My hands suddenly flew to my neck as I felt something rushing up my throat.. Thanatos frowned.
"Baby, what's wrong?"
I couldn't speak, I simply signaled him that I'm about to throw up.. he held my face in his hands and crashed his lips on mine.
His lips moved slowly against mine, my eyes grew wide in shock...why is he kissing me when I'm about to throw? Does he wants me to vomit in his mouth?
I tried pushing him away, but he wouldn't budge, rather he wrapped his arm around my waist and started kissing me furiously.
Not being able to resist his lips, my eyes closed and I started reciprocating his kiss.
We kissed for a few moments, before he broke the kiss... that's when I understood why he kissed me.
He was trying to help me digest the drugs.
"How are you feeling now?" He asked.
"I'm ok.. thank you"
He smiled and winked at me. He packaged the remaining tablets, then turned to me..took my hands in his.
He sighed.
"Baby, I know you're still mad at me, but... "
"I'm not" I cut him off.
"You're not?"
I shook my head and he frowned.
"But.. you said I shouldn't talk to you and.. why aren't you mad now?"
I shrugged, withdrew my hands from his, laid back on the sofa and rested my head on his laps.
"I think I kinda overreacted earlier, it wasn't entirely your fault" I said.
But the truth is, I actually couldn't figure out why I was mad at him in the first place...
or maybe I forgot reason I was angry.
"Phew!" He sighed, then started caressing my hair.
"Baby, I was worried and racking my brain on how to get your forgiveness.. thankfully, you aren't mad at me"
He leaned down and gave me a chastening kiss, he smiled at me and I smiled back.
"Thanks for not blaming me"
"Right.. tomorrow I'm gonna go visit your mother, I'll try getting her to tell me about her past"
He hummed and nodded, but frowned slightly when something occured to him.
"What about Jade? Aren't you gonna visit her at the hospital?"
Visit her? For what? Riding my man?! Hmph!
"She's your sister after all... "
"She's your wife after all, you're closer to her than me.. are you gonna visit her?" I gritted out.
He locked gaze with me and shook his head quickly.
"No, but we can't just leave her at the hospital... "
"Inform her parents, especially her dad.. make sure to tell him I beat up his beloved daughter"
Thanatos laughed at my words.
"Fine, I'll call your dad and... "
"He's not my dad, he is Mr Reinle to me"
"Oh, right.. Mr Reinle, I'll call him and notify him about Jade's condition"
"Better"
Then there's a comfortable silence between us, Thanatos was playing with a strand of my life though.
Maybe I should tease him.
"So.. tell me, how did you enjoy Jade's pu$$y?" I asked.
He paused and stared at me weirdly.
"Baby, I was unconscious, I didn't even notice what she was doing to me"
"Then whose pu$$y is the sweetest?"
"I was unconscious, baby"
I gasped and got off his laps, I sat up and glared at him.

I pounced on him and reached for his belt, but he held my hand and shook his head.

He pushed me aside gently and got up, he took some steps away from me.

"Then let's just do it"
I got up and took some steps towards him, but he took some steps backwards too.
"Come on, it's just 5 minutes"

Before we knew it, I'm already chasing him around the living room.
"Thanatos, let's do it"
"But we can't, Davis is around and he's also awake in his room.. he might hear us"
I didn't listen to him, I continued chasing him.

Reinle's resident....
Margret put a glass of water and medicine on the bedside table, she pulled up the blanket over her husband.
"Mom!"
Tim called onto her and rushed into the room, she sent him a scolding glare.
His eyes moved to his father's sleeping form on the bed, he quickly shut his mouth and waited until his mother is done.
"What happened?" Margret asked.
"Jade and Jasmine had a fight"
"What?!"
Margret let go of the blanket and faced him fully, there's a very deep frown on her forehead.
"They had a fight?"
"Yeah... I heard it's a very big fight and Jade was rushed to the hospital"
Margret fell onto the bed, she sat at the edge.
"I.. I never knew that a day like this would come...I never wished for my children to fight each other..." she whispered.
"Mr O'Briens called me and told me this himself, it can't be a lie"
She frowned more.
"Mr O'Briens?"
"Oh, he's Jade's supposed husband and Jasmine's boyfriend" he replied.
Margret lets out a humorless laugh, she shook her head and glared at her husband.
"He's caused a great war between his daughters.. instead of solving it, he's laying on a sick bed"
"What should we do now? A lot of things is happening lately.. our company.."
She narrowed her eyes at him which made him swallowed his words, she pointed a finger at him angrily.
"Company? You are still talking about the company, even at a time like this?" She growled at him.
She got up and smacked his head.
"You were also involved in this mess, you led your father into making a rash decision.. can you see the consequences now?!"
Tim stayed silent, he dared not speak or he might get a slap this time.
"Your sisters are fighting each other over a man, is that what you want? Do you enjoy seeing them making a fool of themselves?!"
Margret averted her gaze to her husband, she glared at him.
"Your reputation that you so much value is soon going down the drain.. they're fighting now, isn't this a disgrace and shame to you?"
She scoffed, it's too bad Donald isn't even hearing all these words she's saying.
"Mom, you can do something about this" Tim said.
"What can I do?" She paused. "I can't do anything about it now"
"You can, talk to Jasmine.. she should leave Mr O'Briens for Jade..."
Margret cut him off with a resounding slap, his neck turned and couldn't straighten for a short moment.
"Can you listen to yourself? Don't you think you're being partial? Jasmine is your sister too!"
Tim rubbed his cheek.
"Jasmine's being in love with Mr O'Briens for such a long time, she lost her family for him and she's suffered a lot for him.. don't you think she deserves him most?"
She shook her head in disbelief.
"You and your father are unbelievable!" She stormed out of the room angrily, leaving Tim there.
Tim stared at his father for a moment, he sighed and sat on the bed next to him.
"Dad, when are you gonna get better? It's been two weeks now"
Donald's remained unmoved for two weeks already, since he came home drunk.. he's been very sick.
"Dad... " He trailed off.

Adele's pov 👙
A grunt left my mouth as I woke up and felt my neck is stiff, I twisted it and heard it shoot.. then yawned.
"You're awake, isn't it time for us to go home?" Clark asked.
"Hmm" I hummed.
I looked at Jade, she still haven't opened her eyes yet.
"But are we just gonna leave her here?" I asked.
Hm, I really don't know why I'm kinda having pity on her now.
"Yeah, after all we don't know when she's gonna wake up..."
My stomach growling cut him off, I wrapped my arms around it and chuckled.
I reached for my phone and checked the time, it's already 9pm.
"I think we should go home, eat, bath and get a proper rest.. maybe I can convince Jas to come with me tomorrow"
"Good idea, let's go"
He got up and helped me up, he reached for my bag and we headed out.
"I kinda pity Jade, it's not easy to give up on someone you've waited on for five years"
"Hm, he was never hers in the first place" Clark replied.
I rolled my eyeballs.

The next morning!

Thanatos sang next to me in his sweet, smooth velvet voice, my lips curved in a smile...his fingers playing with my hair.
My eyes opened and I met his eyes staring at me, he smiled at me and stopped singing.
He leaned forward and placed a sweet kiss on my lips.
"How are you feeling now?" He asked.
My eyes moved away from his, down to my naked body and I blushed.
"I'm fine" I replied.
"That's good, but I hope you didn't forget our deal" he said.
Our deal...my mind played back to last night's event.

After a few minutes of chasing Thanatos round the living room, I huffed in anger and slumped on a sofa.
I began to sob quietly, before I knew it, I'm wailing miserably.. he stopped running and rushed to me.
He squat in in front of me.
"Baby, what's wrong?" He asked.
I didn't reply him, I opened my mouth wider and continued wailing.
"I.. we.. what happened?" He asked.
"You don't want me anymore!" I cried.
His brows furrowed instantly in a frown, he reached for my hands and pulled me into a hug.
"Baby, that's not true..."
I pushed him away from me.
"It's true, you're running away from me!"
He sat on the sofa and carried me onto his laps, he wiped my tears and sighed.
"Davis is a very smart kid, we can't make love with still widely awake" he explained.
"But.. but.. I'm horny" I said in a quieter voice this time.
Honestly, I don't understand my system recently... I've never this kind of urge for s£x before.
What's happening to me?
"Ok...how about we make a deal?"
"What deal?" I asked him back.
"How about you move in with me..."
I arched an eyebrow at him.
"Move in with you? In your apartment nextdoor?" I asked.

"What happens if I agree to move in with you?"

I thought about it briefly.
Moving in with him won't be so bad, we're already living together here.. also, he's Davis's father.
I think it's high time we stayed together, as a real family... Wait, am I the one thinking or it's my urge?
"So, baby, what do you say?" He asked.
I took a deep breath and nodded, I don't care if it's me making this decision or my sudden urge.
All I know is, I need him right now!
"Fine! I'll move in with you, just do something already"
He winked at me, then got up.
"Where are you going?" I asked him with a frown.
"To make Davis fall asleep" was his replied.
I leaned back on the sofa, puffing out some air and kicked the table slightly in frustration...I'm feeling an internal heat.

After he made Davis fall asleep, he came back and joined me in my room.. we locked the door and did it all night.
"... when are you gonna move to my place?" He asked.
I rolled my eyeballs and pushed him off me, I sat up and rested my back on the headboard.
"I just promised you yesterday, give me some time" I said.
He smiled.
"Well, I'm just being a little bit impatient, I need you and Davis in my mansion to make it a home.. "
He paused, his eyes moved to my stomach and settled there briefly.
"... also, i want you to be comfortable and well taken care of" he said.
I nodded and yawned, I stretched my limps and located the wall clock.
"07:13am... I should go get Davis ready for school" I said.
Thankfully, today's friday, I'm not gonna pack a lunchbox for him..I snatched Thanatos big t-shirt laying on the bed and wore it.
I wanted to jump off the bed, but failed to realize my legs were tangled in the bedsheets... I realized it too late when I found myself falling to the ground.
"Argh!" A short sharp scream left my mouth.
Fortunately, Thanatos was quick to catch me, before I could kiss the ground.
"Hey, careful there!" He said in a scolding manner.
His eyes scanning my body, especially my stomach which made me frown at him.
"I'm fine, I didn't fall to the ground" I said.
"Well, you could have fallen to the ground if I hadn't caught you in time...you should be very careful now!" He scolded me.
"Why are you getting worked up? I was just trying to get up and prepare Davis for school" I defended myself.
He sighed and helped me find my balance, he wrapped his arm around my waist and led me towards the door.
"I'm not fragile, you know that right?"
"Yeah, but right now you're fragile" he replied.
"What?"
"Nothing" he replied.
I frowned but didn't push it further.
We stepped into the living room and I'm surprised to see Davis already dressed in his school uniform.. he's having breakfast.
"You got him ready?" I asked Thanatos.
"Hm" he hummed. "I only came to wake you up for breakfast"
I smiled at him. "That's so sweet" I pecked his lips.
Suddenly we heard Davis yelling.
"Momma! Cooties!"
I quickly pulled away from Thanatos and rushed to Davis, I squat to his level and kissed hi cheek.
"Good morning, baby"
"Good morning, momma" he replied.
"You're ready for school" I state.
"Yeah" he replied. "Momma, taste my food" he said.
He dipped his spoon in his cornflakes and put it in my mouth... I started chewing slowly.
"Mm-mmm, so sweet!" I moaned.
He giggled and gave Thanatos a thumbs up.
"Daddy made it for me" he said.
I rolled my eyeballs, he's already taking his father's side..
Davis doesn't praise me even when I cook the hardest food for him, but here he is praising Thanatos for making a simple cornflakes... Boys!
The doorbell rang.
"Hold on!" Thanatos said and rushed towards it.
I shared a sofa with Davis and started going through his books, to make sure he has everything he needed.
"Where's your art book?" I asked him.
He quickly swallowed the food in his mouth and wiped his lips with his hands.
"My teacher took it" he replied.
I nodded and continued arranging his books.
That's when I felt someone gripped my shoulders from behind, I turned and saw Adele.
"Hey, girlfriend" I greeted her.
She rounded the sofa and sat on a free one next to mine, he snatched Davis's spoon and took a spoonful of his cornflakes in her mouth.. which made Davis started crying.
"Momma, aunt Adele ate my food"
I glared at her, but she's simply making funny faces at Davis who in turn is crying.
I smacked the back of her head, then wiped Davis's tears.
"Aunt Adele is a cornflakes thief, I'll punish her later.. just eat your food for now and go to school, ok?"
He nodded and continued eating, though he moved his cornflakes from its original position and turned away from Adele.
"And who said he's five years old?" She asked sarcastically.
Her eyes focused on Davis's plate, she licks her lips... I know she's thinking of ways to snatch that cornflakes from Davis.
"Now, I understand why you both don't agree with each other" I said.
She stuck out her tongue at me.
"Your son is just a tiny, stingy man!"
Thanatos came, he collected Davis's backpack and squat to Davis's level...he held Davis's hand.
"Buddy are you done eating?" He asked.
Davis looked at his empty plate and nodded, I reached for a glass of water and made him drink from it.
"Alright, I'll take him to school, stay here and chat with your friend" Thanatos said.
He didn't wait for my response, he and Davis headed to the door, but Davis stopped...he ran back to me and kissed my cheek.
"See you later, momma"
"See you later, baby" I replied.
He tried to wink at me, but ended up closing both his eyes...I laughed.
I guess he learnt that from his father, because Thanatos does wink a lot...he ran back to his father and they left.
Wait.. am I overthinking this? Or Thanatos is actually being careful with me since last night?
I sighed.
I should forget about Davis and Thanatos for now, they're gone with their troubles.
"Adele, how's Jade?" I asked.
A frown took over my face, when I saw Adele pouring my cornflakes in the plate Davis just used.
"What are you doing?" I asked her.
"Trying to make something to eat, duh"
"I know, but that's my cornflakes you're making"
She scoffed.
"I know, just see it as payment for making me take care of your monstrous son for three weeks... three good weeks!" She said.
No words came out of my mouth, I simply stared at her with my mouth wide opened.
"So.. how's Jade?" I asked.
"Oh, she's still in coma.. I guess she's negotiating with God by now"
There's a pause between us, she munched on her cornflakes and lets out a crunchy sound.
"I thought you hate her, why are you asking about her?"
"I don't hate her, she's my sister after all... I'm just mad at her for raping my man"
Her eyes snapped opened and she dropped her cornflakes.
"Rape?!"
"Of course, drugging someone and having s£x with them against their well is rape" I said.
She burst into a brief laughter.
"Funny, but it's true though" she said.
I leaned back on the sofa, closed my eyes and took deep breaths.
"Are you gonna visit her?"
"No"
"Why?"
"I'm not ready to see her, I might get angry again and end up killing her this time" I said.
Adele shrugged and continue eating her food. Just at that moment, the doorbell rang again.
Adele and I looked at each other, silently waiting for who will get the door.
"Why are you staring at me? Are you waiting for me to get the door?" Adele asked.
I didn't reply, I just continued staring at her. She scoffed.
"Well, as you can see, I'm eating..."
"Are you gonna get the door? Yes or no?" I asked quietly.
She dropped her food and gulped, she smiled and quickly got up.
"I'll get the door, I'll get it" she said.
I smirked. "Good girl"
She rolled her eyeballs and headed towards the door, soon, she came back with Arthur and... Victoria.
"Hey, Jas" Arthur greeted me with a smile.
He opened his arms and wanted to give me a hug, but I pushed him away when his cologne hits me...his smile wiped off and he frowned.
"What happened?" He asked.
"Sorry, I don't think I like the scent of your cologne" I answered.
He perceived himself.
"But I didn't change my cologne, it's the same as before" he said.
Huh? I had always like the scent of his cologne, why do I feel like throwing up when I perceived it now?
Maybe I should go for a check up, something's wrong with me.
"Right, Jas, this is Victoria" he said.
I locked gaze with Victoria, she glared at me briefly, then smirked.
"We know each other.. there's no need for introductions" she said.
There was a hint of smugness in her voice, but I ignored it, she's not my problem and I careless about her.
I turned back to Arthur.
"Arthur, I'm really sorry for not being able to pick you up from the airport... I was busy"
"Oh, it's fine" Arthur said.
Adele snatched the plastic bag Arthur's holding, she opened it and searched inside.. she smiled.
"Wow! Jas, Arthur brought us so many things!"
Victoria scoffed loudly.
"Of course, someone was being a cry baby, telling him to bring her some candies!" she spat out.
Me? Being a cry baby? Arthur was the one begging me to tell him what to buy for me.
Her rude remarks and smugness is getting on my nerves now, she's being trying to get on my bad side since she and Arthur reunited in Japan.
It's high time I put her in a corner!
I opened my mouth to replied her, but Adele beat me to it.
"Excuse me, who do you think you are? How dare you talk to my friend so rudely?"
"And who are you?" Victoria asked.
"Someone you wouldn't wanna mess with!" Adele said.
I leaned back on the sofa I'm sitting and let Adele teach her some manners.
Arthur noticed what Adele's about to do, he cleared his throat, he held Adele's hand and pushed her back slightly.
"Adele, it has gotten to this, let's...."
"Shut up!"
Adele cut him off and snatched her hand off his, she glared at him.
"Your girl's being rude to use but you didn't say anything, now you want me to stop?"
Victoria scoffed again.
"As if she's relevant"
"Repeat what you just said" she dared Victoria.
Victoria didn't say anything, then Adele continued.
"Don't try to get on my bad side, or you'll regret your miserable life"
"My life is miserable?"
"Of course"
"Well at least, I'm not chasing someone who doesn't give a dime about me"
Adele and I faced Arthur, I'm wondering why Arthur would tell her about this.. while Adele is glaring daggers at him.
She shoved the plastic bag in his hand, she reached for her pocket and pulled out her phone.. after scrolling for a few minutes she turned the screen towards Victoria.
"Look closely, this is my boyfriend! He's way handsome than this..."
She paused and glared at Arthur once more.
"... this ape you call a boyfriend, he's rich than your ape boyfriend too!"
Victoria opened his mouth to speak, but Adele didn't give her any chance.
"I'm not a fool like you, at my my man is with me because he's in love with me.. unlike you, Arthur is with you because he's s£x starved!"
I curved my mouth in an O shape, I bite my tongue to hold back my laughter...
Arthur simply stared at Adele with his mouth speechlessly opened.
"You..."
"I what? He's just using you to satisfy his sexual urge, don't think he's in love with you.. the love is long gone, you're just a s£x toy now.. you have no value in his life!"
Victoria's face us turing red, I don't know if it's from anger or embarrassment.. she balled her fists beside her.
"Also, don't think your plastic surgery can help you look young, you're still older than my grandma who's long dead"
"Ha-ha.. ha-ha!" I let out a mocking laugh.
Right... I forgot to tell you guys, Victoria is older than us (me, Adele and Arthur).
"You..."
Victoria seemed as though she will break down in a minute, she's trying her best to hold back her tears.
"I.. I.. I what?" Adele stepped closer to her. "I told you, I'm someone you wouldn't wanna mess with!"
Victoria pushed Adele back and raised her fist, ready to land a punch on Adele's face.. but Adele escaped quickly.
I got up as Adele ran to me and hide behind me.
"Jas, she wanna punch me" she said.
I almost laughed at Adele's reaction, she's got a smart mouth but no strength to fight.
Victoria laughed at her reaction, she folded her arms on her chest.
"So... she's a dog with many barks and no bites!" She state.
"Yeah, but if you're willing to fight.. why not challenge Jasmine?" Adele said.
Arthur cleared his throat again.
"Guys, let's calm down"
"Shut up!" We all yelled at Arthur.
I turned back to Victoria, she's staring at me as though I'm a lazy bone.
"I'd advise you crawl back to the hole you came from, you're too old to be looking for true love from a man who sees you as a s£x toy!" Adele said from behind me.
Victoria raised her fist again and came at Adele, but I caught her hand before she could touch Adele.
"What are you tryna do? Fight in my house?" I asked..
She scoffed.
"I'm letting you off because of your relationship with Arthur, let go of my hand or you'll get it hot from me"
Adele laughed.
"Are you sure you wanna give it to get hot?" She laughed again. "Take my advise and leave now that there's still time"
Victoria narrowed her eyes at me, she tried to snatch her hand from me.. but I didn't let her.
"Let go or you'll regret it"
"Oh, I'd love to see you make me" i said.
I twisted her hand and heard a loud crack, she howled loudly in pain and Arthur rushed between us.
He tried to make me leave her, but I didn't.
"Jas, we didn't come here for a fight" he said.
"But someone did, she came here fully prepared!" Adele replied.
Victoria is still howling in pain, I twisted her hand more and her cries increased.
"Let go, Jas, please" Arthur pleaded.
"Why should I? So she can talk trash again?" I asked.
Arthur shook his head, I turned to Victoria and found out she's glaring at me even though she's crying.
"She's still glaring at me!" I growled and twisted her hand again.
She wailed and I smirked.
"Jas, let her go, we'll leave" Arthur said.
I twisted her hand once more and pushed her away from me, Arthur caught her and she cradled her hand.
"Arthur, I don't wanna have issues with you because of some hag... take her and leave my house, we can talk when you're alone" I said.
Arthur nodded, he held her and turned to leave but Adele called him back.
"Take this" she turned her gaze to Victoria. "We're not some cry babies... we're not beggars either!"
She handed the plastic bag Arthur brought with him, then waved them as they left.
*.. I thought we agreed you'll apologize to her, why did you ended up causing a fight?* I heard Arthur scold her.
I slumped back on my sofa and sighed.
"Adele, you should stop using your smart mouth on people you know are stronger than you" I said.
She laughed.
"Everyone is stronger than me" she replied.
"Which is why you should be careful who you offend"
She shook her head.
"Since I can't fight, I should at least use my smart mouth.. it gives people the impression that I can fight.. my smart mouth scares people away.. they wouldn't dare pick up a fight with me"
I rolled my eyeballs and shook my head, I got up and headed towards my room.
"I'm gonna go shower, then we'll go to work" I said.

Jasmine's pov 👙
Adele glared maliciously at me, she snatched the hamburger I was holding from me.. and began to eat it.
"I can't believe you did this to me!" She snapped at me.
"It's not my fault, you know... "
"Then whose fault it is? Mine?!" she eyed me.
I kept quiet and wore my shoes, I reached for my small hand bag and headed towards the door..
I heard her footsteps coming behind me, so, I knew she's following me.
We stepped outside and I locked my door, then we started walking down our street.. the main road is just a few meters away from our apartments.
"You made me wait for you, to the extent that I'm already late.. just to tell me you aren't going to work today?"
"I completely forgot I'll be visiting ma Gloria"
"Well, you can visit her after work"
I shook my head, I searched in my bag for my phone.. which I found immediately.
"I can't visit her after work, visiting hours are over then" I replied.
"Is visiting her today really so important?" She asked.
"Yeah.. I wanna talk to her about something very important"
Our discussion today will really help Thanatos, I just hope ma Gloria would open up to me or agree to speak with her son.
"Hmm" Adele sighed. "I'll just have to suffer Elvis's wrath alone today" she lets out a dramatic sigh.
She popped the last bite of hamburger in her mouth, snatched my bottle of water from my bag and took a few gulps.. before returning it.
I narrowed my eyes at her.
"Why are you keen on snatching my food and son's food today, don't tell me you didn't cook in your house"
She shook her head miserably.
"Don't remind me, Clark almost burned down my apartment.. I barely made it out alive"
I laughed at her expression as she said this, there's a horror look on her face.
"I swear, I won't let him in my kitchen ever again"
I laughed again, I'm so lucky my Thanatos can cook, at least, he helps me with the little he can.
"Right.. you're gonna help me with something later" she said.
"What?"
She opened her mouth to speak, but I cut her off.
"Don't tell you wanna get a revenge on someone, I'm not gonna fight.. I'm feeling easily exhausted recently!"
"Hey, you're making it sound as though I only need your help to fight off my foes"
I arched an eyebrow at her.
"Am I wrong?"
She grinned widely.
"Well, there might be a little truth there"
I rolled my eyeballs at her statement, little truth indeed!
"Actually, this time, I'm visiting Clark's parents and last time I left a bad first impression"
I bite back a laugh, which she noticed and narrowed her eyes at me.
"So, you're gonna help me doll up like an innocent church girl.. I don't want them to see me as some irresponsible girl" she said with a hint of... nervousness?
Adele must really love Clark, she's a bold, smart mouth girl and she's barely afraid of anything.
But seeing her being so nervous meeting Clark's parents, that's something new and it only means one thing.. she's deeply in love with Clark!
"Alright, I'll help you"
She quickly gave me a side hug, she gave me a kiss on my cheek, which made me push her away with a cringe.
"Eww! Gross!" I said.
We arrived at the main road, fortunately, there's an oncoming taxi. I quickly reached out and stopped it.
"Molina's retirement home" I told the driver.
"Hop in" he replied.
I nodded and quickly got in, then waved at Adele.
"I'll see you in the evening" I said.
"Yeah" she replied and waved me back.
I winked at her, then wind up and quickly sent thanatos a text, informing him about my visiting ma Gloria.
The driver drove off.

Molina's retirement home
"Thank you, sir" I said and collected my change from the driver.
He drove off without wasting time, I guess he's in a hurry to make enough money for today.
I sighed and walked into the building.
"Good morning, ma"
"Good morning, sir.. how is your health today?"
"Good morning, grandpa Louis, are you taking your medications?"
"Good morning, ma'am.. I hope you're still maintaining your diet?"
That's how I've being greeting any and everyone I past, until I arrived at ma Gloria's room.
I knocked on her door but she doesn't seem to hear it, she must be thinking again.
She's sitting by the window like she always do when she's thinking, not wanting to disturb her thoughts.. I quietly walked in.
I sneakily went behind her and realized she's staring at something in her hands, I tilted my head and peeped at it.
It's a photo frame, I recognized her and Mr O'Briens, there's a little boy of about 7years standing between them.
The boy looked so much like Davis, which means he's Thanatos..
It's obvious she's Thanatos mother, then why was she denying it? What happened to her?
Besides, judging from how widely she's smiling in the photo, it doesn't look like she was unhappy in her marriage.
Wait... Mr O'Briens is also staring at her with so much love in his eyes...they seemed to be one happy family.
What went wrong? Will she agree to tell me if I ask?
I cleared my throat and tapped her shoulder, she quickly hide the photo and turned to me.
She smiled when she saw it's me, she tilted her head and looked behind me.. Maybe she's checking if I came with Thanatos.
"I came alone" I said.
"Oh" she exclaimed. "That's a relief" she said.
She looked as though she's happy Thanatos didn't come along, but she's there's a hint of sadness in her voice.
"How are you and Davis doing?" She asked.
"We are both fine" I replied and sat on another chair next to hers.
I reached inside my bag and pulled out the supplements I bought for her, I dropped them on the table and faced her.
"You brought new supplements?" She asked.
"Yes" I replied, then squinted my eyes waiting for her next words.
I know she haven't finished the first ones yet, she does that every time.
"Em.. you shouldn't be buying these supplements every time"
"Why?"
"You know... If they're too much in the system, it won't be effective anymore"
"Ma, I want it to be too much in your system..."
I paused, I saw her pushing the photo under the table like she normally does.. she thought I didn't see her.
"... why not check it out" I pushed the supplements towards her.
Ma Gloria picked a bottle of vitamin C, she smiled as she studied it.
I rolled my eyeballs, that's the only supplement she like there.. even the vitamin D, she hardly touch them.
"Ma, you should be taking your medications and also eat early, you shouldn't neglect your health because of your personal issues!" I scolded her.
She laughed and shook her head, shrugging her shoulders.
"I don't have personal issues, I don't even recollect my past.. what personal issues can I possibly have?"
Then she focused her attention back on the vitamin C, she opened the bottle and took a few tablets.. she popped them in her mouth and closed her eyes.
"So sweet" she said.
Seeing this as an opportunity, I got up and went behind her, then snatched the photo from under the bed.
"Thanks, Jasmine, I really appreciate this vitamin C" she said.
I came back to my chair and sat down, I hide the photo behind me.
"Ma, I wanna talk to you about something very important"
Her eyes snapped opened, she seemed to know what I wanted to say already.. she dropped the bottle of vitamin C on the table.
"I know you want to talk to me about your husband, I'm also sorry for reacting that way to you guys.. I shouldn't have asked you to leave in a such a harsh way" she apologized.
Is she willing to admit she's Thanatos' mother?
"But like I told you that day, I requested don't know your husband.. we're not in anyway related, I don't know him"
"Why, ma?"
She stayed silent, she turned away from me and faced the window.
"Why are you denying your family?"
"He's not my family"
I chuckled lightly.
"You said you don't recollect your past, then how are you so sure he's not your family?" I asked.
Ma Gloria didn't speak, she simply continued staring out the window in silence.
"Are you gonna deny this too?"
I showed her the photo, her eyes grew wide and she quickly looked under the bed.. but didn't find it.
"How did you get that?" She asked.
"Ma, how I got it doesn't matter, but the main question here is.. why are you denying your son?"
She collected the photo from me, stared at it a few minutes and closed her eyes.. then a lone tear rushed down her cheek.
I guess there's no way she could deny it now, she have no choice but to talk to me.
"I'm doing this for his own good" she said quietly.
"For his own good? How?"
Ma Gloria simply shook her head, she brought the photo closer to her chest and hugged it.
"The farther we're apart from each other, the safer he'll be.. I don't want him dead.. they'll kill him if we reunite"
I frowned.
So, someone actually threatened her to leave her family? But who could that be? Henry and his mother?
Yeah.. it must be.
"I'm meant to disappear from his life and server all ties with him, that's the only way I can ensure his safety"
"Who wants him dead? And why do they want him dead?" I asked.
Ma Gloria didn't speak again, she simply held the photo tighter and sobbed.
"Is it Henry and his mother?"
She tensed immediately I asked that question, her pupils dilated in fear and she shook her head.
"Not them? Then who?"
She dropped the photo and grabbed my hands in a tight grip.
"Don't ask, the less you know, the safer you'll be.. just help me with something"
"What?"
"Don't tell Thanatos I'm his mother, if you don't tell him who I am, then he'll be safe"
Her voice sounded so panicked as she speak, if she's not hiding from Henry and his mother.. then who is she afraid of? Who is she hiding from?
"Ma, forgive my boldness, but I think you're being wicked to Thanatos"
"I'm being wicked to him?" she asked.
"Yes, I mean, Thanatos thought you were dead and he's being trying his best to find the culprit.. but to no avail"
I paused.
"But here you are, hiding and denying everything, do you think that would help keep him safe? If you stay hidden forever, do you think whoever threatened you is gonna let Thanatos off the hook?"
She withdrew her hands from mine and stared blankly at the table.
"It's the only way"
"No, it's not. Tell Thanatos who's after your family, then Thanatos will find out what their purpose is and hand them over to the police.. that's the only Thanatos' life will be spared.. that's the only way to keep him safe"
She stared in my eyes.
"Are you sure? I don't want to lose my son.. it's better he's safe and we don't meet"
"Ma, your son can only be safe and sound when the bad guys are put behind bars" I told her.
Ma Gloria got up, she walked closer to the window, pushed the curtains opened.
"He sent his spy to watch over me here, thankfully I drove Thanatos out that day.. they saw it"
Hmm...what is she tryna say? I'm afraid I don't seem to understand her now.
"They must have told him about it, so, he must be thinking I'm serious about my decision of never speaking to Thana"
She turned to me.
"Tell Thana to make arrangements, he should get me out of here tonight and I'll tell him everything he needs to know"
My lips curved in a smile.
"Really?"
"Yes, I'm also missing my son too, I can't wait to be with him again"
I nodded, but suddenly remembered something.
"But how can he get you out of here? With those spies stationed here?" I asked.
"Just tell him to make arrangements to get me out, he'll understand what you mean"
"Oh, alright" I smiled.
I just hope Jade isn't involved in this dirty business though.

Jasmine's apartment!
"Mr O'Briens" Peter called Thanatos as he knocked on the door.
Thanatos stopped what he was doing and rushed to get the door, he pushed it open and Peter walked in.
"We've found out the new owner of McMahon's company" he said.
Thanatos nodded, he walked back to the living room and sat on a sofa.
Peter also sat on a sofa, he searched through his phone and handed it to Thanatos.
"Sir Roman is the new owner, he bought the company at the last minute and made Jade his assistant.. that's the reason Jade came to your office yesterday" Peter reported.
A deep frown appeared on Thanatos forehead as he stared at the content in the phone.
"As to the reason Jade agreed with them to rape you..."
Peter cut himself off when Thanatos flashed him a very harsh glare, he cleared his throat and continued.
"...only Jade can tell us why she agreed to seduce you" he said.
"That's good" Thanatos said and handed the phone back to Peter.
"Right, your mother-in-law is in Las Vegas, she's on her way to the hospital Jade's admitted"
"Hm, go get the car ready"
Peter nodded, he bowed slightly and headed out. Just then Thanatos phone rang from the kitchen, he rushed over to receive the call.
He smiled when he saw Jasmine's name flashing on the screen.
"Hello, beautiful" he said.
"Hey, baby, she agreed to tell you everything" her cheerful voice arise from the other side.
"Really?"
"Yeah.. I'll tell you more when I see you"
"Alright"
There's a brief moment of silence.
"Your mother is in Las Vegas, she's on her way to the hospital"
Jasmine didn't say anything, Thanatos sighed deeply.
"Send me your address, I'll come pick you up"
"Ok" she answered and hanged up.
