Caller: hey did you really mean what you are saying?

Godson: so you are among the foolish people that believed that rumor? I am coming to your place tomorrow just wait for me

– Then the connection went dead.
Anita’s eyes looked heavy and her soul was troubled.

The following day as planned, Anita cancelled all the appoint ment she had in order to find out if the caller was saying the truth or just playing a prank with her.
At about mid day, a huge car entered the compound with huge excults.
She just stood out side staring as they approach nearer.
When the cars has packed, Godson jumped down from the car and making his way toward her as his guys followed behind.
– Godson: hello Baby, it has been a very long time.
Anita: filled with surprises) i can’t believe this, is this really you!
Godson: Yes it is , I’m not dead.
– Immediately, she you’rehe had entertained him they started a discussion
— Godson: i heard that your wedding is coming up two weeks from now
Anita: that is right. So tell me what really happened.

****godson began his story***.;
I must really admit that i did some thing very wrong.
I was guilty of being a drug pusher.
So we were caught after two months we arrived in south Africa.
Sooner tayo and i escaped.
The cops chased us and when they could not catch us they began to shoot at us. Tayo felled down and die as the result of the bullet driven into his back.
At length, bullet cut my arm but i manage to hide away from the cops.
I met a man who took me to the hospital and healed my wound.
After i was okay, i traveled with the man to dubai where he owned large shop.
I started working for him and since then no one ever heard about me and i guess the death of tayo some how cleared a way for rumours that i was also dead.
– Anita: (excited) wow, what a lucky escape.
Godson: i am still working for the man and he pays me randomly
Anita: so why did you remember home at last after so many years?
Godson: i will go back soon but i have to fix things
. Especially the reason why i came back.
Anita: what reasons are they?
Godson: number one reason is my family.
– Then he stretched both of his hands to hers and played with it as he continued) and the other is you.
– Anita: surprise) me?
Godson: yes of course, you made me a promise and i made you a promise and till now i haven’t forgotten it, and i don’t think i can Ever forget it.
– Anita: but it is now late, my wedding is coming up soon
Godson: i don’t care, you can always say no to who ever it is. I still loves you with all my heart .
– Tears began to drop from her eyes all of a sudden, she had loved him with all her heart.
She felt empty and broken for many years hearing that her lover was dead.
She found another reason to be happy when she met Edward.
Now her first Love have showed up again.
She was in deliamma of what to do because that love she has for him was still there.
– Anita: I still loves you too, but the case now is so hard on us.
– He hugged her tightly consoling her with the following words
– Godson: don’t cry, we will get through it together.

She no longer reply to any of his messages, some times she won’t pick his calls and even if she pick, she sounds different to him.
This went on for a whole three days and the situation got worst which began to drive the poor lover mad.
At length he decided to visit and Speak to her face to face to know why she is acting strange over night.
As soon as he made the decision to leave, he heard a knok at the door.

With out bothering who it was at the door, he opened it to see the surprise visit of thomas and his wife.
His eyes opened wide and his lips spread abroad in an uncontrolable smile on sigthing them, he then exclaimed
– Edward: oh my gush! Is this Mr. And Mrs thomas?
Thomas: yes it is o Edward: oh come in, you are highly welcomed
– they came in with happiness, Edward left the room right away as soon as they had taken their seat to the inner room to get them a drink, within no time, he returned, he placed the drink and the glass cups on the table and then located his own seat. After staring at the happy couples for some moments, he called
– Dward: Mr

Thomas: sir Edward
Edward: hows things nah
Thomas: fineoooo Edward: (hitting his head hard,) why did i even ask, i know you guys are fine already judging from the looks on your beautiful faces; .
He then turned to sandra whose tommy was already getting bigger .
Edward: look our wife is now double
Thomas: our what???(he asked jealosly)
Edward: wife nah
Thomas: noooo! She is my wife i can’t share it with any body, get yours.
Edward: easy guy, we are not dragging her.
– Thomas crossed his right hand over her shoulder and she was only left to smile her self away.
Their was no doubt she was shy especially to look at Edward.
Moreover thomas said with one kind^funny face
– Thomas: better Edward: more over , i am seeing yourT hand work, congratulation on the goal you scored
Thomas: thanks ,
– then Edward asked after they had taken each a glass of drink.
– Edward: why am i graced the opportunity to your visit? Thomas; well, our visit therefore is to inform you that we are travelling to another state to start our own family there,
Edward:sadly)but why?
Thomas: i cant consider my self a man to the fact that i am still living with my parents,
Edward: is that all?
Thomas: yes
Edward: o come on, you are joking aren’t you?
Thomas: i wish i am, our mind is already made up,
Edward : in that case, i am personally going to miss you very much .

EDWARD: you gotta text me the address soon, i will be coming often to visit

– After every set and series of discussion they went back to their house leaving Edward alone at home; Edward was still pondering on what to do whether to visit Anita or not until an idea struck him, he picked up his phone and dailed up her number, when she had picked the call after three attempts, he said
– Edward: hellow my sweet heart
Anita: hi
Edward: are you free tonight
Anita: why asking
Edward: nothing, i was thinking we should go on a date today
Anita: date??? No way, may be some other time
Edward: why?
Anita: i am busy
Edward: doing what?
Anita: something, i am not free today
Edward: so when will you be free?
Anita: i dont know but i will let you know when i am ready, there is no time for me to …..
– he cut the call angrily
– Edward: damn it! He exclaimed angrily) not up to thirty minutes , Anita called back, she was really bothered knowing the fact that she did had hurted his feeling
– Anita: hello Edward, come by 6:30 pm and pick me up. I have some thing very important to tell you
Edward: forget it, i thought you said you don’t have a chance
Anita: Yea , but i have to make it out
Edward.: okay, just wait for me;

Edward did not remove a single glance on her even when he was puring a drink into his cup that made him almost split the table
Anita.: why are you looking at me as such, do i look like a freak?
Edward: ofcourse not! I was just admireing your beauty, i was thinking God bring out his whole mind to creat you which made you different from other ladies.
She chuckled at what he said with out saying a word, she paid her attension to the food she was eating, soon after wards, she turned serious and said
– Anita: edward, i have something very important to tell you
Edward: i know you love me, so its not nessassary
Anita; you might not really like what i am about to say
Edward.: hmmm, go on let me check out for my self

Anita: few years back, i fell in love with A guy i loved so much with my life, then, i thought nothing can seperate us; he promised to marry me while i promised to wait for him till he gets money, things fell apart after he travelled to south africa, he promised to be back within six months but before that six months, we recieved a report that he died including his friend, he traveled with
. I wept so bitterly that i even made a tumb for him at the back of our house. Now he has returned to Nigeria and of recent he told me that its his friend who died not him, according to him he still wants me thats why he came back to nigeria , with the way things is, i think my heart still beats for him and i love him.
. Edward’s face grew tall and red as he asked
– Edward: and so what is that suppose to mean?
Anita!: i know it will be hard for you believe me it is also hard for me, especially remembering the promise i made to him, forgive me at this juction, i think the only option here for us is to break up .
Edward: what!!!!!
– He screamed not believing his ears
– Anita..: i am really sorry the way it sounds
Edward : just tell me you are joking and stop this useless dramitical joke!

– Edward was totally disappointed, he felt tears clouding his eyes and he fought hard not to let it drop.
– Edward: Anita look into my eyes and tell me you don’t love me again.
– with out a single delay, she replied with an eye fixed on his

-The tears he has been trying to withhold fell of his eyes and started flowing down his cheek
– Edward.: all i need is for you to tell me you dont love me so i will be out of your life for ever
– she faced the table with a very sad face , a drop of tears break through from her eyes to the table too.
– Anita.: i dont love you
Edward: what is it that this Guy have that i don’t have? Is is fame? Is it money? Is he more handsome? Haven’t you seen my six packs, broad chest and wide shoulders?
Anita: you are very handsome . But Its not about those qualities. Its about love.
Edward: you know what Anita, go to hell with that demon; who cares!
– he said with venom in his speech as he slammed the table angrily and then left like a flash with out even settling the waiter, shaa Anita was equal to the task.

Rose was in the bar with some of her friends, Nora, Martina and betty, chating drinking and having Good time together
– Betty.: if you see the kind of wrist watch he bought for me, he bought it for 50k but i rejected it Nora: but why? Betty: its too cheap for me to use but shaa i accepted it when he promised to buy better one next time.
Rose.: see you this girl, you love expensive things
Betty: trust me nah, i am the original and expensive bae
Nora: nah wa o!
Martina. : you guys should take a look at that guy sitting over there, he has been drinking since we came here and i guess, he is already drunk, no doubt the issue dealing with him is love .
She said pointing far opposite of her as the others turned around to take a view, immidiately rose recognised him and said; .
